It was a busy weekend for Aftershock 12u Young as the team was in action four straight days. The action began with a warm-up friendly win on Thursday night as the girls defeated Fire Fastpitch 2011 by a score of 11-4 to prepare for the Mentor Big Red Blast Tournament. The ladies then headed to Mentor for a 7-1 Friday night win over Big Red 2k11 before two tough, close losses on Saturday. Against the Erie Frost the rain came pouring down in the 5th inning as the Frost overcame a 5-2 deficit to score a 8-6 win despite Peyton Hudson’s 3 hits and 2 RBI on 2 doubles. The ladies the fought hard in a 1-0 loss to the North Coast Crushers as Hudson struck out 8 in 5 innings but got the loss.
On Sunday, Aftershock 12u Young went 1-1 in Bracket Play falling to Ohio Energy 2011 by a score of 6-1 in the White Bracket’s Championship Game.
